Life at Steak
Secrets, loyalties, and one man's code that keeps America's first restaurant alive.
Every legendary room has a back door, and Dennis has spent his working life on the other side of it. Life at Steak is what he learned there: about people, about loyalty, and about what it really takes to keep an American icon open for another night. Read what's inside Life at Steak, and be the first to know when it's released.

Built to Change. Built to Come Back.
Dennis grew up in a Croatian immigrant family in Queens and was working in restaurants as a child. In 1998 he walked into Delmonico's to shadow the general manager. He worked every role in the house before becoming an owner, and helped carry it through 9/11, Hurricane Sandy, the financial crisis, and COVID-19.
When the doors closed in 2020, he wrote "I'll be back" on a wooden hanger on the last night of service. In September 2023, Delmonico's reopened. That's the short version; here's how a Queens kid became the steward of Delmonico's.

Hospitality Was Never Just About Food
"It was about people." That lesson came early, and it still runs every service. Dennis meditates and walks every day, and he leads the same way he hosts: be mindful, be present, and take care of the person in front of you.

Beyond Beaver Street
Delmonico's is where it started, not where it stops. TUCCI brought the Tucci family's Italian table to NoHo in 2024, Boogie Lab USA is bringing Croatian artisan bread to New York, and a second Delmonico's is on its way to Midtown. See the ventures he's building beyond Beaver Street.

Bring Dennis to Your Stage
Conferences, leadership teams, and graduating classes: Dennis speaks on hospitality, resilience, and keeping a legacy brand alive without freezing it in time, from the owner's chair, not the sidelines. Explore his keynotes on hospitality, resilience, and legacy.
